Do Something Kind For You
by DanM in Blog Post No Comments
Fuck blue Monday in the ass (and do something nice for you)
It’s true that you get what focus on
Think today is the worst day of the year?
Then it’s more likely to be so for you
Statistics and data are useful; but equally if everyone is telling you all the shitty things that apparently today brings?
Well – maybe it will for you
My advice is no matter how small on this apparently le most mis day of year is do something nice for YOU
Doesn’t matter how small (or big!) it is but a moment of kindness for YOU will change you day
Started the day good and then for some reason the goat came to mind and gave me a moment of sadness…
Then a friend who’s having a hard time unloaded on my WhatsApp…
Then I did an exercise in my journaling that made me think hard about some life choices…
I did my usual pattern interrupt (box breathing for two) and then said fuck it – had to do some errands for mum/Anna and I was going to take a 10 min detour to go into an actual coffee shop and have an iced coffee
I can’t remember last time I had one!
And the result is a buzzing dan who had some truly amazing ideas (please join me at 6pm for a big and brilliant announcement & epic changes) and is AMPED for the day ahead
YOU are in control of how you feel
YOU can influence your day with what you do
YOU are the master of your destiny
So take a moment today to do something kind for you and prove blue Monday’s a pile of horse shit
