Do You Dress For Work When Working At Home?
Do you ‘dress for work’?
This is a bit of a random one but since dad passed I’ve thrown myself into work and projects that have been niggling me for a while; with a big one being kitting out my flat
Im turning the living room (it’s hyooge and I live by myself) into a PT studio/mobility room…
All the tech is coming out of my bedroom so it’s purely for sleep…
One room is now a mini living room/man cave with massive TV and PS4…
And the other room is a dedicated spare room and my ‘dressing room’ – am I keep all my leathers and toys in there…
(Make of that what you will)
The main idea I am working too is each room has a specific ‘theme’ of work, rest and play
But I remember when I did this mad challenge way back in 2015 where one of the things (it was aimed at those of us who work from home/freelancers where you ‘dressed up’ for work every day even if you were at home
The goal being a mindset shift as in right now it’s time to get shit done
Thoughts?
I think I might try it once a week or so because I Defo feel more ‘business like’
(Usually it’s shorts, flip flops and a vest/T-shirt #zeroeffort lol…and that’s on a good day if I don’t see anyone I’m basically feral)
Oh and if you’re wondering what this pic is, I was at a friends wedding and their kids wanted to fight me
They lost and learned a valuable lesson
